My name is Ben Alexander and I returned to my home church in 2021 to serve as Lead Pastor at Springfield 1st Church of the Nazarene after ministering in Illinois, Florida, California, and Ohio. My heart is for people to know and experience God’s love in a real way.

A graduate of Olivet Nazarene University (Class of 2002) with a degree in youth ministry, I have dedicated my life to leading and serving the church.

I am married to Michelle, and we have two amazing kids, Jackson and Natalie. When I’m not at church, you can find me playing disc golf, coaching Illini Basketball from my couch, drinking overpriced coffee, or spending time with family.

Most importantly, I know that I’m loved by God and know that you are too—and that following Jesus means loving God and loving your neighbor.
